Wife of Manchester United star Anthony Martial wants him to make Real Madrid move
According to Get French Football News (h/t The Express), the wife of Manchester United star Anthony Martial, Melanie Martial has revealed that she dreams of him moving to Real Madrid.
The Frenchman had endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford this season. His seven goals and eight assists in 36 appearances is a far cry from the chart-topping performances he put up last season. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The Frenchman also picked up an injury on national duty that may have ended his season prematurely. With his future at the club far from certain, it remains to be seen if he has played his last game for United.
United are currently in the market for a new striker. Martial is one of United’s top earners and has a contract that runs until 2024. Given his performances of late, it is fair to say that United are not getting their money’s worth.
While it is more than a wishful fancy at the moment, Martial’s wife is clear that a move to Real would appeal greatly to her.
“The clubs of my heart, for me, selfishly if I was only thinking about me, I would say Real Madrid. Hala Madrid.”
However, she has left the decision of where he wants to play for Martial to decide. Melanie is under no illusions and will back her husband wherever he may choose to end up.
“I will be there as the first fan, no problem. What counts is where he wants to go and where he feels good.”
United are ready to listen to offers for Martial and seeking in the region of £38m for his services.

Martial has made 258 appearances for United across all competitions, scoring 78 goals and making 49 assists. He was a part of the United side that won the FA Cup in 2016, the League Cup in 2017 and the Europa League the same year. (h/t Transfermarkt)
