Erik ten Hag gives his thoughts on whether Anthony Martial will get to play for Manchester United again or not
Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial has not been having the season he hoped he would. the Frenchman has only recorded two goals in 19 appearances this season. He has also missed 18 games due to injury.
With his contract running out at the end of the season, a lot of people have started to wonder whether or not Martial has played his last game for Manchester United. Here’s what Erik ten Hag had to say about it. (h/t Fabrizio Romano)
“It depends on him. It’s about how quick is he back and what are the levels that he is showing”.
While Martial is definitely leaving Manchester United at the end of the season. He could still come back and don the Red for them once again. However, no matter what kind of performance he puts on, his days at Old Trafford are coming to an end.
The Frenchman’s fall has been catastrophic, to say the least. There was a time when the Old Trafford crowd loved cheering his name and believed he would win the Balon d’Or while playing for them.
However, Martial has let himself and his fans down. He will now be racing against the clock to come back in time and give the fans one last show before his imminent departure from Old Trafford.
He may have failed to achieve anything with the club, but the fans will surely be giving him a fond farewell when he leaves this summer.
