Manchester United will need to fork out £60m to sign Raphael Varane

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have discovered what they need to pay to land Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane.

The 27-year-old has been on the club’s radar for some time now. Varane is ready to leave Real Madrid after having spent a trophy-laden 10 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With just one year left on his current deal, Real will have to make a decision on his future soon. The Spaniards too are in need of a rebuild and could raise funds by selling the Frenchman.

The Red Devils are keen to bring in a defender to partner Harry Maguire in defence. There is widespread belief at the club that Varane fits the profile of the player we need.

Real are seeking an impressive £60m for Varane’s services. But United hope to bring down the asking price.

While Zinedine Zidane is keen to keep the defender, Real are worried about losing the player for free next year. The best chance of them being able to demand top dollar will be this upcoming summer (h/t The Mirror)
