Juventus could land Manchester United ace Paul Pogba for €60million
According to Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Juventus will need to fork out €60million to land Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The Italian champions have been heavily linked with the Frenchman and have been backed to make a move in the summer. Pogba, for his part, has a little over a year left on his contract and looks set to leave.
It was confirmed by the player’s brother earlier this week that the 27-year-old is set to bid goodbye to Old Trafford sooner or later. It will come as a boost to Juventus, who are currently in fourth spot in Serie A.
Juventus is not the only team in the fray for the Frenchman. Spanish giants Real Madrid too have thrown their name into the hat.
The Italians, however, hold the advantage when it comes to the race for the player. This is because Real president Florentino Perez does not share Zinedine Zidane’s admiration for Pogba.
As per the report, Untied are willing to part ways with the midfielder for €60million. Juventus however are keen to drive the price down even more.
Former United ace Cristiano Ronaldo, now at Juventus too is keen for the transfer to happen. The report states that he has already given his blessings for the deal to be concluded.
Pogba enjoyed a brilliant spell at Juventus before returning to United in 2016. The move however has not paid off as expected. The 27-year-old is, however, enjoying a recent resurgence in form that has aided United’s title push.
