Manchester United and Tottenham will fight it out over Galatasaray star Baris Alper Yilmaz
As reported by HITC (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will both be looking to sign Galatasaray ace, Baris Alper Yilmaz this summer. The 23-year-old has garnered a lot of interest from the Premier League with his recent form.
Yilmaz has made 51 appearances for the Turkish side recording a total of six goals and nine assists. While his G/A might not look too impressive when taking his appearances into account, Yilmaz’s technical ability is unmatched.
The 23-year-old can dribble past defenders and actively attacks open space allowing him to create for his teammates. Throwing a catalyst-like unpredictable element like Baris into the Manchester United lineup would do a lot of good.
The team also has to deal with the Marcus Rashford situation. Talk suggests that the Manchester-born star could leave this summer, so signing Baris would make even more sense since United will need to reinforce their wings.
Even if Rashford stays past this season the Red Devils can simply pick up the 23-year-old winger to add depth to their often depleted lineup. It’s a win-win for United, however, Tottenham will not make it easy for them.
The Lilywhites are also in need of a quality winger with the future of Timo Werner in doubt. So, signing a player like Baris will also be beneficial for them. It is best that both teams move quickly since neither would like to be drawn into a bidding war.
