Despite the injury, Lindelof has played the full 90 minutes in all but one of United’s Premier League games this season. He adds that his focus is on helping the team on the pitch.
“I’ve been struggling a little bit with my back in the last couple of months but I’m always trying to do my best to help the team.”
The Swedish defender says that he wants to help United “win trophies”, and that he is willing to play through the pain barrier.
The former Benfica man also mentions that he as been managing his injury smartly, by balancing his recovery time between and after games.
However, he does admit that it has been tough to do that recently, given the hectic Premier League schedule.
“I’ve been having a lot of pain and I still have problems with it… the schedule is very, very tight so I’m just trying to keep it under control.”
It is an ode to his commitment that Lindelof has still managed to appear in 18 matches for United so far this season. (h/t Transfermarkt)
