2. UNITED NEEDED TO GET A PROPER CENTRE FORWARD IN THE SUMMER
Wayne Rooney had a decent game today, as did Anthony Martial. However, Rooney isnt really a capable striker anymore while Martial, although impressive is still learning the tricks of the trade. Under such circumstances, it would have been excellent if van Gaal had bought in a good frontman, capable of taking chances and stretching defences. Seeing the likes of Ighalo, Vardy and Lukaku doing so well, I am sure the former Barca boss will be biting his fingernails and imagining what would have been had he managed to buy a Higuain or a Lewandoski.
