The Best And The Worst Rated Manchester United Players In Their 0-0 Draw Against Chelsea

Schweinsteiger

David De Gea- 8.5

Unbelievable goalkeeping from David De Gea once again. Pulled off some absolutely incredible saves that looked certain goals. He just gets better and better.

Ashley Young- 7

Young made some really good goal saving tackles. He did well on the attacking front as well causing trouble for Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chris Smalling- 7

It was yet another solid performance for United’s main man this season. Looked in charge throughout the game.

Daley Blind- 6

Did defend well but he didn’t look as comfortable back in that centre-back role. Definitely provides much more while going forward. He must improve his corners though.

Mateo Darmian- 6

United were playing much higher which allowed Darmian to overlap constantly. He caused Ivanovic some problems combining with Martial down the left.

Morgan Schneiderlin- 6.5

Unfathomable to think he didn’t play the last two games. Provided stability and an added layer in front of the defence. He allows Schweinsteiger to push ahead by playing so deep.

Bastian Schweinsteiger- 6

He did a decent job with his distribution and looked keep on the attack. However he did look like he was lacking a bit of match sharpness, coming back after 3 games out.

Juan Mata- 6

Started the game really well including a stunning strike that cannoned of the crossbar. However, his influence waned as the game progressed. He wasn’t able to get on the ball as much.

Ander Herrera- 7

He did a good solid job defensively and on attacking front. Caused Chelsea a lot of problems. Always combines well with Juan Mata.

Anthony Martial- 7.5

Made some very good runs down the left causing problems for Ivanovic. Made an impressive run and eventually shot beating Courtouis only to hit the post. Looked to create something every time he got the ball.

Wayne Rooney- 6

It was a much better performance from the captain. His hold up play and distribution was good. He looked much more determined. He had a massive chance to win the game for United late into the game which he hit over the bar.

Substitutes:

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson- 7

He came on for Darmian at left-back and did a very good job.

Memphis Depay- 5

Made absolutely no impact after coming on.

Phil Jones- 5

He came on way too late to make too much of a difference.
