Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning on raising funds at Manchester United by selling for academy players including Mason Greenwood.

Manchester United will get a major boost to their bank account as Sir Jim Ratcliffe is now planning to offload multiple stars including Mason Greenwood, as reported by Express.

The Red Devils need some new talent on the pitch if they wish to succeed during their next campaign. This season has already been a disaster, but it has helped highlight what the team lacks, this in turn will help INEOS make better decisions during the summer.

As reported by I Sport (h\t Express), Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have emerged as suitors for Mason Greenwood. The 22-year-old has previously stated that he dreams of playing for the Catalan outfit.

Selling Greenwood will result in pure profit for the club as the player is an academy graduate. Two other stars who fit this bill are Hannibal Mejbri who is currently on loan at Sevilla, and Alvaro Fernandez who is also on loan at Benfica.

The money that the club will get from these sales will set them up nicely to make some big moves during the summer. However, it is a little disappointing that the club doesn’t wanna retain a talent like Greenwood.

There has also been some talk about Scott McTominay, it is believed that he is also one of the players that Sir Jim is planning to move during the summer. Big changes are on the horizon for Manchester United.
