As reported by Rudy Galetti, Manchester United are looking to get rid of Antony for an ‘acceptable’ fee. The 24-year-old will be earning £6m per year until 2027. So, by moving him this summer the club can save up to £18m.

The Brazilian has not been having the start he hoped he would this season. He has made 33 appearances for Man United this season recording just two goals and two assists. An abysmal display by the winger.

Galleti also stated that Michael Olise is currently the heavy favorite to replace the Brazilian at United. He has made 13 appearances this season recording six goals and three assists for Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

Antony has slowly been returning to form and had a good game against Chelsea. However, the Red Devils are tired of waiting and wish to move on. The team paid £85m to sign the Ajax winger back in 2022.

So an ‘acceptable’ fee could fall under a wide range of figures. We expect that any figure that brings the team closer to signing for Michael Olise would be acceptable to them. The Crystal Palace winger has a high ceiling which will run up his price.

It makes complete sense that the Red Devils would try and move Antony to get a better signing in place. Now they must realize that time is of the essence and moving fast will bring up their chances of signing Olise.
