Berbatov gives Manchester United some advice on how to ‘save their season’
While talking to Betfair, former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov had some advice for Manchester United that could ‘save their season’. Erik Ten Hag and the team have suffered a terrible fate this campaign.
We’re not even halfway through January and the Red Devils have already lost 14 games across all competitions. Two more than they lost throughout the entirety of their campaign last year.
The Old Trafford squad has already dropped out of the Champions League. Moreover, they were embarrassed by Newcastle United en route to an exit from the Carabao Cup. Last but not least, they are eighth on the Premier League table.
The team could end the season without any silverware and seem to have given up on that goal as they currently aim for a top 4 Premier League finish. At the time of writing, they are nine points away from the top 4.

“This is the only major trophy United can win this season and doing so could save their season. Of course, they need to chase a top four finish in the Premier by any means necessary, but winning the FA Cup would be something they can show off.”
While he urges the team to chase the FA Cup he also stated that they should take it one game at a time. Berbatov also believes that the squad’s inconsistency could end up hurting them in the long run.
