Berbatov gets ‘angry’ when watching the Manchester United star who has been in poor form this season.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov says he gets ‘angry’ when he watches Antony play for the team. The Red Devils paid £82m for the Brazilian winger and they are yet to get their money’s worth.

In 66 appearances for United, Antony has only scored eight goals, which is abysmal, to say the least. Moreover, this season has been even more of a struggle with no goal contributions in 22 appearances.

Berbatov might not be the only one who gets angry when seeing the Brazilian play. No one wants to see an £82m star run around for 90 minutes without making an impact.

Here’s what Berbatov had to say while speaking to Betfair about Antony. (h\t The Daily Mail)

“For me, watching as a fan, I get angry when I watch him because it’s frustrating.”

“If Antony can’t get out of his, then he needs to go.”

It seems like Bebatov’s position is clear on Antony. He went on to say that he understands the Brazilian’s situation and sympathises with him. However, sympathy will not turn the season around for Manchester United, results on the pitch will.

if Antony cannot contribute to the team’s comeback efforts during the second half of the season, then the Red Devils will have to bite the bullet and ship him off to a different team.

If Antony can go back to his Ajax self, life will be good for him at Manchester United. In 84 appearances for the Eredivisie club, the Brazilian winger recorded 24 goals and 22 assists.
