Pep Guardiola breaks his silence on Manchester United’s acquisition that has shaken up their bitter rivals Man City

Pep Guardiola has finally spoken up about Manchester United’s newest signing. The Red Devils have only recently signed Omar Berrada who previously served as CEO for the entire City Football group.

Fans have been delighted about this signing, and many even believe that Berrada is the first of many future arrivals who will change the face of the club under the leadership of INEOS.

However, while the rest of the world celebrated their move, Pep Guardiola actually took a swipe at Manchester United.

Here’s what Guardiola had to say about the situation (h\t Fabrizio Romano)

“Yeah but Kevin De Bruyne is still at Man City, Erling Haaland will play here too”.

The legendary manager went on to say that things are not so easy and proceeded to congratulate Manchester United. Pep’s words feel like they come from a bitter place.

However, what he has said does make sense. Manchester City have already gotten a lot of use out of Berrada. The Blues are currently on top of the world and with players like Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, it is likely to stay that way.

Signing Omar Berrada is INEOS' way of steering the club in the right direction.

While having Berrada will surely make a difference it’ll be quite some time before his positive impact translates to results on the pitch. For the time being the Red Devils need to focus on turning their season around.
