Fabrizio Romano believes following Victor Lindelof two more Manchester United stars will soon sign new deals
Earlier it was reported by Fabrizio Romano through X (Twitter) that Manchester United have decided to extend the contract of Victor Lindelof by an additional year. This was done by activating the club option on his contract.
He then went on to say that the same is expected to happen with 20-year-old Hannibal Mejbri and 26-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Tunisian midfielder could also be offered a longer deal since he is soon expected to go out on loan.
Romano has also confirmed that the same could end up being the case for the English defender. It looks like Manchester United are first working on retaining their players before they head out and buy new ones.
Mejbri has been having a rough time with The Red Devils. The young midfielder has a lot of potential to grow but has often been sidelined. Erik Ten Hag has not been very enthusiastic about fielding untested players this season.
Throughout 10 appearances Mejbri has only played a total of 417 minutes out of a possible 900 (Tranfermarkt). The development of such young and raw talent is of the utmost priority so the player is expected to go out on loan this month.
On the other hand, there is one player that Manchester United have opted not to extend. Likely, the club will soon sit down with Raphael Varane to negotiate the terms of a new contract along with possible cuts to his wage.

Extending the likes of Mejbri and Wan-Bissaka would be a step in the right direction for Manchester United. Hopefully, the club will make more positive decisions like this one before the transfer window shuts.
