Sevilla showing interest in talented Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri
According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes (h/t Manchester Evening News), Sevilla wants to lure midfield sensation Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United in the upcoming transfer windows.
Sevilla looked into the idea of signing Hannibal last summer. Although there were contacts with the player and his entourage, the negotiations did not go well, in part because United firmly opposed them.
Mejbri scored his first Premier League goal against Brighton earlier this season and has continued to show his passion in a red jersey. Despite Erik ten Hag’s men struggling to make an impact, the young Tunisian continues to stand out.
The player’s attitude toward his present contract will have a significant impact on Sevilla’s likelihood of success in this endeavour. Although United have the possibility to extend it until 2025, there is yet to be a breakthrough in negotiations between both teams.
The United board is also anticipated to start discussions to ensure Mejbri’s long-term employment with the club. His willingness to fight for the badge certainly stands out.
