Harry Kane Reveals Bayern Munich preference over Manchester United
Harry Kane revealed his happiness with the decision to choose Bayern Munich over Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old forward completed his move to Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth up to £100m.
Kane has already made five appearances for the German giants, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

In the upcoming Wednesday fixture, United will travel to Munich to face Bayern in the Champions League Group A opener.
Kane discussed the interest from United while addressing reporters (h/t Sky Sports) ahead of the Allianz Arena clash. The English striker said:
“Obviously, over the summer, I know there were talks between a few clubs in the background, but Bayern was a team I was really interested in and excited by. My focus is on here. Manchester United is a great club, a really big club as well. I just decided to come here and am really happy I have.”
United had been linked with the English striker on numerous occasions before but never officially submitted a bid.
Instead of entering a bidding war for Kane, United chose to sign 20-year-old Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta. The reason for this decision was debated among fans and pundits alike.
It can be assumed that United signed Højlund for £72 million instead of committing to £100 million-plus for a 30-year-old striker. The Red Devils have previously signed veteran strikers as short-term solutions, but the success achieved was not sufficient.
Højlund represents a long-term solution that has been needed at the club for a considerable time. The Danish forward will have ample opportunities to adapt to United’s philosophy and strategy.

In hindsight, it appears that Kane made the right decision by joining Munich rather than United, given Munich’s well-established squad. United, on the other hand, made a prudent choice by signing Højlund, as short-term solutions were not delivering the desired results.
