Manchester United target Harry Kane willing to wait on new Tottenham Hotspur contract
Harry Kane is willing to wait before signing a new Tottenham Hotspur contract amidst interest from Manchester United, according to 90min (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The England international’s current deal with the North London side is set to expire in the summer of 2024 (transfermarkt). However, the 29-year-old is willing to see who Spurs appoint as the next permanent manager before deciding his future.
Kane is in no rush to make a decision on what to do at the end of the season. Tottenham are also willing to give the striker some space until they name a new head coach.
The English skipper will reassess his stance once the North London side get a new boss in their dugout. At the moment, apart from the Red Devils, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also monitoring the forward.
Over the years, the 29-year-old has established himself as one of the best number nines in the world. The striker has carried the Lilywhites’ attack season after season.
However, Kane has been unable to get his hands on any silverware during his time at Tottenham. And there is no guarantee that a new manager will help Spurs end their 15-year trophy drought.
Erik ten Hag has had to rely on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst up front in the current campaign. However, the French national has been on the sidelines for most of the season.
On the other hand, the Burnley loanee has left a lot to be desired as our striker. The Holland international has put in a shift, but he is seemingly not up to the Red Devils’ standards.

Therefore, we evidently need to add a prolific striker to the team next summer. Kane needs to make his mind up sooner rather than later. The England international is approaching the end of his prime years and the Old Trafford side do not need to wait for anyone.
