Transfer News: Paulo Dybala is open to a PL move amidst Manchester United interest
According to Sky Italia (h/t Manchester Evening News), out-of-contract Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is open to a move to the Premier League amidst interest from Manchester United.
Dybala is expected to leave Turin for free after failing to renew his contract with Juventus and he was widely expected to stay in Italy with Inter Milan touted as the potential destination for the talented Argentinian.
However, it does look like the tables have turned on a move to the Nerazzurri, especially since the Milan club signed Romelu Lukaku on loan and as a consequence of this, talks with Dybala have stalled.
With a move to any other club seeming unlikely in Italy, it has emerged that Dybala is now set on moving to the Premier League if an opportunity arises. Man United are said to be very interested in the talented forward.
Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has since then gone on to achieve superstar status in Turin. A very talented playmaker, the Argentinian has been exceptional for Juventus for most of his time with the Old Lady.
The 28-year-old did suffer a dip in between for a couple of seasons where injuries and covid kind of derailed his career. However, Dybala seems to be well and truly back to his best this season playing an important role for Juventus.
In 39 matches for the faltering Serie A giants this season, Dybala scored 15 goals and provided six assists across all competitions. Whilst these numbers are very decent, the hybrid forward is capable of doing much more.
Manchester United are doing a squad rebuild ahead of next season and signing Dybala might just be perfect for Erik ten Hag. A player of Dybala’s quality almost never comes around for free and this seems like a risk-free signing for the Red Devils.
If Dybala works out, he can do wonders for Man United. If the 28-year-old however fails at Old Trafford, the Red Devils can always sell him for a profit a couple of seasons seasons down the line and they will not be missing much.
