Newcastle United and Manchester United ‘interested’ in AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala
The Red Devils will have to compete with the Magpies in the upcoming transfer window to acquire the Argentina international’s services. He could be available for just £10.7 million next summer.
Eddie Howe’s team are flying high in the English top flight this season. The Tyneside outfit are competing for a place in the top four in the current campaign.
Newcastle have evidently become more competitive since their recent takeover. Last summer, the Magpies signed Alexander Isakfrom Real Sociedad to bolster their front line.
The Tyneside outfit spent money in January as well. Howe’s team got a hold of Anthony Gordon from Everton. They also have the likes of Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin to call upon.
Dybala joined Roma in the summer of 2022 as a free agent after leaving Juventus. The 29-year-old spent several successful years with the Bianconeri before making his way to Jose Mourinho’s team.
In the current campaign, the Argentine has been in fine form. He has found the back of the net 13 times and has provided eight assists for the Giallorossi in 29 appearances in all competitions. The forward also went on to lift the 2022 World Cup title in Qatar.
At the moment, Erik ten Hag has counted on Antony on the right wing. In the centre-forward position, the gaffer has been unable to rely on Anthony Martial due to his fitness issues. As a result, Wout Weghorst has played a lot in recent weeks.

Dybala is a versatile forward who can play behind the striker as well. However, it remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old will be pursued by Man United or Newcastle next summer.
