Newcastle United to pay massive loan fee for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial amidst Juventus interest
According to The Sun, Newcastle United are ready to pay a massive loan fee for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial amidst interest from Juventus. He has revealed his desire to leave Old Trafford through his agent.
Newcastle are open to paying a loan sum of around £6million for the Frenchman’s services until the end of the current season. They are currently engaged in a relegation battle and require reinforcements in January to help them survive and keep themselves in the Premier League.
Juve are also interested in getting the 26-year-old on a loan transfer for the rest of this term. He still has two years left in the current contract while also having the option to extend it by another year. Man United want to earn a decent sum through a permanent transfer and believe that they have the edge over the Magpies due to the latter’s current difficulties.
Take the money and run
The Toons have got injected with a lot of money due to the recent takeover and we should try to take advantage of it to the fullest. The interest from Italy, and the circumstances they are enduring currently, could also assist us during negotiations. However, it remains to be seen whether the France striker is interested in engaging in a relegation dogfight.
Martial would want regular game time, and a move to St. James Park could offer that chance to him. If it is a loan move, Newcastle’s relegation or survival may not matter to him in the grand scheme of things, especially if he achieves his goal of impressing Man United board members during his time in Tyneside.
It’s not like we signed Martial for the cheapest fee possible and he is still very much a prominent name on our wage list. He has also had his chance to show his worth at Old Trafford and if the club thinks he isn’t fit enough to cut it in the starting XI regularly, maybe it is time we seek a permanent solution for his future.

The earnings can be put to use by backing Ralf Rangnick through signings in areas that need reinforcements. It remains to be seen who we target under the German boss but it is important that our focus remains on driving out the unimportant players and strengthening the quality in our depth.
Martial’s departure will mean a relatively young and versatile forward leaves our ranks but if we have a decent replacement lined up for him, his potential departure will not hurt so much. It’s not like he is a regular starter at the club anyway, and it remains to be seen if he dons the black and white of Juve or Newcastle come deadline day- if he leaves us at all.
