Manchester United players and staff believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shall be sacked by the club

According to The Sun (h/t Daily Star), some Manchester United players and staff members believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the verge of being sacked.

Few expected that this would be the state of the club that signed world superstars in the summer transfer window. Moreover, the Red Devils finished 2nd in the Premier League last season, and the only was up.

However, Solskjaer has ruined all those plans within the first three months of the season. They started well by picking up four victories out of five league games but it has been a downward spiral since then.

Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester City, Liverpool, and Man City have all picked up points against us. West Ham defeated us in the third round of the EFL Cup, leaving no chances of giving any game-time to our fringe stars.

Cristiano Ronaldo has needed to bail us out three times in the UEFA Champions League this campaign. The formations have been changed, courtesy of which a majority of the attacking talent is warming the bench.

Thus, this shocking form has left some players and staff members to believe that the 48-year-old shall be replaced. It is also thought that it is a matter of when rather than if he shall be sacked.

Ralf Rangnick is touted as a possible option to be appointed as an interim boss if the Norwegian is fired. However, there are other options as well as on the list. Brendan Rodgers is admired by the United backroom and could also be a long-term option for the club.

Erik Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have also been mentioned in hushed tones. Either way, only time will tell if Solskjaer gets the sack at Old Trafford any time soon.
