Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could take over the wheels from Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich
Thomas Tuchel is living under massive pressure at Bayern Munich after 3-2 defeat against Thomas Letsch’s VfL Bochum at the weekend. The loss means that the Munich based side are now trailing by eight points to Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern are now on an unwanted winless run of three games which started in hands of Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen in the highly anticipated league game and a 1-0 loss to Sarri’s Lazio in the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16.
With a first trophy-less season in several years in sight, Bayern board’s primary plan is to honestly access the situation at the end of the ongoing campaign and give Thomas Tuchel time till then. Following the embarrassment at Bochum, Bayern’s hierarchy swiftly decided to stand by Tuchel as the former Chelsea manager showing no intention of resigning.
Bayern’s three man managerial target list if Tuchel were to be shown the door
While Thomas Tuchel is still backed at Bayern, there are already reports about possible replacements for his managerial chair. According to Sky Sports, Xabi Alonso who is Liverpool’s first choice to replace Klopp is the preferred candidate to replace Tuchel while Bayern Munich are also looking at Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane and our very own Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to reputed Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are looking at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as an interim solution for the ongoing campaign if Tuchel were to be sacked mid-season. Although there is said to be nothing concrete discussions about this.
Bayern Munich’s sporting director Christoph Freund already knows Ole Gunnar Solskjaer well.
