Manchester United star Paul Pogba wants a Juventus return
According to Gazetta Dello Sport (h/t Teamtalk), Paul Pogba favours a return to Allianz Stadium after failing to come to an agreement with Manchester United.
Paul Pogba’s current relationship with the Manchester board seems puzzling. The world cup winning midfielder left Juventus 5 years back in order to become a top player and compete for trophies with Manchester United, where he spent his academy days. But all along, his relationship with the club has gone from a whirlpool.
Paul Pogba‘s contract is about to end in the next year. But a new contract from the Manchester United side seems unlikely. Thus the agent of 28 years old player has started the quest of finding him a new home.
Even though the Frenchman has disappointed some Red Devil fans with the lack of good performances in recent games, he remained one of the world-class midfielders of this current generation. Thus many top teams are ready to grab the opportunity to include him in their arsenal. PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid are believed to be the frontrunners in this race.
But the player seems to be adamant about a Juventus return. It seems he has communicated his feelings to his agent Mino Raiola who also has a great relationship with the Italian club.
The player spent four years from 2012-2016 in Turin. He has some incredible moments to cherish from his previous speel.
He scored 34 goals and assisted 40 times in 178 games for the old lady. The list of silverware he won with the Italian giant is far greater than he won with United. He has won 4 Italian championships with Juventus, and Additionally he played a Champions League final with the Old Lady.
However, he has to compromise in his fees playing for the Turin based club. He receives bonuses worth €14m from United, which the Old Lady could not be able to afford.
Pogba’s desire to play for the Italian side is evident through his actions as it is believed that Paul even offered to take a pay cut to facilitate his transfer.
But there’s a relief for Pual as in Italy; he would pay around half of the taxes he would elsewhere because of Italy’s Growth Decree rule, which would balance out his loss.
