Agent claims Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland transfer will cost a lot more than his release clause amid links to Manchester United
Speaking to BILD (h/t The Sun), Timo Werner’s agent, Volker Struth, has revealed that Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland will not be a bargain transfer amid links to Manchester United.
The Norwegian sensation has taken the Bundesliga by storm since joining the German club in January 2020. The 21-year-old has managed to play in 69 games across all competition in the last year and a half and has scored a ridiculous 70 goals in that period.
Thus, signing him would really be a help for any club in the goal-scoring department for a number of years. Understandably so, he has garnered interest, with Premier League clubs United and Chelsea vying for his signature, amongst other European heavyweights.
Moreover, a deal can also be done due to the centre-forward’s cut-price release clause of £64million. However, that may not actually be the value of the entire deal, especially when Mino Raiola is the agent of the youngster.
Chelsea star Timo Werner’s agent, Volker Struth, recently revealed that Haaland could cost about a quarter a billion pounds after factoring in the agent fees and salary paid to the player. Struth told BILD (h/t The Sun):
“Haaland has a release clause. The entire package with five-year salary and commission for the agent will probably be on the border of €250-300m [£254million].”

The Red Devils are keen on reuniting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his former Molde pupil but there is a price to everything. The Old Trafford outfit already shelled out incredible money this summer to bring in Jadon Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Raphael Varane.
Thus, unless there are major outgoings from the United squad next summer, it remains to be seen whether bringing the Norwegian international to Manchester would be a financially viable idea.
