Donny van de Beek was urged to hire a new agent by his Manchester United teammates

According to Sportsmail (h/t Daily Mail Online), Donny van de Beek had been advised to change agents by his Manchester United teammates and push for a move away from the club. The midfielder has struggled for minutes under current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and cuts a frustrated figure on the bench.

Van de Beek was signed from AFC Ajax for £35million but has largely been sidelined following his move. He fired his agent Guido Albers after his teammates’ advice and looks to be taking his first steps to leave.

The 24-year-old has since joined forces with Ali Dursun, who also represents his United teammate Victor Lindelof. It is said that a move to Everton or Wolverhampton Wanderers could be on the cards in the January transfer window.

It is claimed that talks have been held with both Wolves and the Toffees regarding a potential loan move. If agreed upon, the Dutch international could be handed a major opportunity to work his way into the Netherlands squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

It is also said that Dursun could have other plans in store for his client. However, nothing is specified at the moment. Speculations would undoubtedly increase in the coming weeks if that is the case.

Earlier, the infamous super-agent Mino Raiola had approached Donny for his services but nothing came out of it. Raiola is known for his tough relationship with the United board especially surrounding Paul Pogba of late.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not kept the promise he made to the Dutch midfielder and he continues to settle for a spot on the bench. His current circumstance does not help him or the club in any way and it would be best to find suitors for the player. A parting of the ways would be the best way forward for both parties.
