Erik ten Hag is not the least bit concerned about getting validation at Manchester United

It goes without saying that Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag must have some very thick skin to be able to endure everything that he has been through this season. The Dutchman has been having a terrible campaign yet still seems the least bit bothered.

The Red Devils are currently eighth on the Premier League table, with a spot in Europe currently in doubt. They failed to defend their league cup and couldn’t even make it out of the group stage in the UCL.

The one thing that the team does have going for them is the FA Cup. Manchester United will play the finals on May 25 against local rivals Man City. A win would get manager, Erik ten Hag some much-needed validation, however, he doesn’t care for it as revealed by Fabrizio Romano. Let’s have a look (h/t Fabrizio Romano)

“Vote on confidence from the owners? You have to ask this question to the owners… not to me”.

“It’s my job and I take responsibility to speak to you. I don’t care if they do or don’t, I keep working to improve my team”.

Clearly, Erik ten Hag doesn’t seem to care a lot about what the owners think of his performance. This could be owing to the fact that he hasn’t gotten the support or a proper system to achieve his goals at Man United.

However, all of that seems to be changing ever since INEOS arrived. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team have been taking positive steps to help restore Old Trafford to its former glory.

While the new owners try to lay the foundation for a rejuvenated Man United, Erik ten Hag is also focused on the ball and only wishes to see his team improve.
