Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assesses Tottenham Hostpur danger in a crucial away fixture

Speaking in an exclusive interview to the Manchester United media, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his thoughts on the threat that Tottenham Hotspur will cause as they travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a Premier League match.

The Red Devils trail Tottenham by a point in the league as they gathered 14 points in nine matches. They are on the back of a heavy defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the last week’s fixture.

Spurs were also on the losing side last game as they lost by a goal to West Ham United. However, they would be boosted by the 1-0 win against Burnley in the Carabao Cup as Lucas Moura scored a header to put them through.

“You know Tottenham with the quality they’ve got and the manager they’ve got, they’re always going to give you a challenge.”

Both teams are not at their best currently and naturally both Ole and Nuno Espirito Santo are facing pressure as a result. Solskjaer understands that Spurs are not in the best place but he does not undermine the threat they pose.

This will be an important match as it could determine the fate of both teams and what their aspirations will be for the season.

“We have to be ready, go out there, perform, work for each other and do what we’ve agreed before the game.”

A win could see both teams push for the top four which is essential if they are to be in the Champions League next season. Three points could also help to turn around their slump and would give a much-needed confidence boost.
