Manchester United travelling squad for Champions League clash vs Young Boys
Manchester United have announced their travelling squad for the clash against Young Boys in Bern, which takes place on Tuesday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be featuring for the first time in the Champions League with Manchester United since playing the finals of the competition in 2009, which the Red Devils lost.
Ronaldo made a sensational second debut by scoring two goals at Old Trafford against Newcastle United. He will be looking to replicate the same form in the Champions League.
Edinson Cavani still remains out of contention as he sustained a minor injury in training at Carrington. Young striker Anthony Elanga is also part of the squad that travels to Switzerland.
Goalkeeper Matej Kovar who was recently called up to the senior Czech Republic team is also included in this squad. Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek, and Anthony Martial are also in the team for the Champions League fixture. Marcus Rashford is still recovering from his shoulder injury and remains unavailable.
Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho are great attacking options for the Red Devils. Ole’s men will be looking to start their Champions League campaign on a bright note. They currently sit on top of the Premier League table after playing 4 matches.
