Manchester United not certain to sign new striker amidst Erling Haaland links
According to 90min.com, Manchester United are not certain about making a move for a striker next summer amidst links to Erling Haaland.
The Borussia Dortmund striker has been in incredible form since his arrival at the Signal Iduna Park a year and a half ago. The forward has managed to score 63 goals in 64 games during that period, courtesy of which he also attracted a lot of attention this summer.
However, his £150million price tag set by Dortmund proved to be too much for most suitors. While that was the case, the 21-year-old could be available for £70million next summer due to a clause in his contract.
The Old Trafford outfit were said to be interested in a potential move for the Norwegian superstar next summer as they looked to reunite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his former Molde pupil.
However, that does not seem to be the case anymore and United are in no rush to make such a hasty decision. The reason for this is the Manchester-based club’s faith in Mason Greenwood.
The Englishman has started the season in fine form with 3 goals in 3 Premier League games, and the Red Devils feel that the 19-year-old can become one of the ‘best’ young players in the world, according to information provided by sources to 90min.com.

Thus, the youngster is a pivotal factor in any and all decisions United make, especially since he eyes his long-term future through the middle while Solskjaer is also in agreement with this.
The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo is also ‘believed’ to be a positive factor as it could help Greenwood develop even more as he will have a role model playing alongside him constantly. Thus, while it is not completely ruled out, United are still pondering over a move for a striker next summer.
