“Still too early”- Agent of highly-rated teenage starlet provides an update amidst Man United links

Transfer News: Agent reveals Eduardo Camavinga is in no hurry despite Manchester United links

Jonathan Barnett, the agent of Eduardo Camavinga, told MadridistaReal (h/t Fabrizio Romano) that these are still early days for his client to decide his future, with Manchester United linked this summer.

United, along with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have shared an interest in the 18-year-old midfielder. And that hardly comes as a surprise given the teenager’s rapid rise to stardom.

At his young age, Camavinga is already one of the first names on Stade Rennais’ team sheet and has already won his first cap for the France national team. And his agent thinks that the youngster still has time to decide his future.

“Eduardo Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett about Man Utd, Real and PSG chances: “It’s still too early to make a decision on his future”, he told to @RMadridistaReal. #MUFC#PSG Camavinga doesn’t rule out to wait next summer and pick his next club as free agent. Open race.”

Camavinga taking his time

The Rennes starlet is in the last 12 months of his contract. And once that expires next summer, he can move as a free agent.

Bruno Genesio, Camavinga’s manager at the Ligue 1 side, also spoke about the uncertainty surrounding the player’s future. As quoted by GFFN (h/t Fabrizio Romano), Genesio said:

Will Eduardo Camavinga move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window as things stand?
Will Eduardo Camavinga move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window as things stand?

“I think a lot of things are happening in his head. Now, the only explanation is that he has to resolve his situation. As long as he sits on the fence…”

More Manchester United News:

United aren’t in need of midfielders on an urgent basis but Camavinga would have surely been a good acquisition in the long term. Nevertheless, if he does end up at Old Trafford next summer, the club can potentially save on his transfer fees and he would have had one more year of experience in France.
