Manchester United could have gone all in for the French talents Kylian Mbappe, Kingsley Coman and Eduardo Camavinga
According to The Sun, Erik ten Hag had the chance to bring some mind-blowing players to the squad – Kylian Mbappe, Kingsley Coman, and Eduardo Camavinga.
Unfortunately, the Manchester United takeover didn’t materialize, shattering our dreams of landing these top talents.
The unpopular Glazer family, who control United, rejected Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s sixth offer, a staggering sum of over £6 billion.
Mbappe, belonging to one of the best player generations, would have been a fantastic addition to English football, but it seems unlikely now.
If the French international leaves PSG when his contract expires this season, he’ll likely seek success elsewhere. Convincing Mbappe that United are on the right track would have required substantial support from Sheikh Jassim, as United are no longer the powerhouse they once were.
Coman and Camavinga are also outstanding talents who could have made an impact at Old Trafford, but they may now be out of reach.
Camavinga was previously on United’s radar during his time at French club Rennes before moving to Spain. With players like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric ageing, he could play a pivotal role in Madrid’s midfield.
