Manchester United add Eric Ramsay to coaching staff
According to news from Mirror, Manchester United have added Eric Ramsay to their coaching staff. Ramsay has been poached from Chelsea and is very highly rated. He will be in charge of set-piece routines as well as individual work with players at United.
Manchester United have their eyes on the start of next season. Training has already started, with the first friendly against Derby County set to take place at the weekend. They have also agreed on their two transfers for the season with Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton.
Amidst all that, United have made a shrewd acquisition in the name of Eric Ramsay. A well-known name among his peers, Ramsay was brought in from Chelsea where he worked with the U-23s. He is also the youngest Brtish coach to obtain a UEFA pro license at 27.
Ramsay has been brought in at United to deal with their set-piece issues that plagued the side last season. He will also deal with the players on an individual level. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke out on the appointment and was visibly happy.
“We’ve been fortunate enough to convince Eric Ramsay to come and join,” said United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. We’re excited. He’s young, fresh and with new ideas, an innovative coach we know from before. Kieran [McKenna] knows him really well from Loughborough, so we’re very pleased with that.”
