Manchester United coach could soon be on his way to the MLS

Erik ten Hag needs to prepare for the worst-case scenario as one of his top assistants at Manchester United could be on his way to the MLS. As reported by The Athletic (h/t The Mirror), MLS club, Minnesota United are eyeing a move for Eric Ramsay.

The 32-year-old is very highly rated around the world. He arrived at Old Trafford back when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was still in charge. However, he stayed back following his departure.

When Erik ten Hag arrived and took over he came with a bunch of his own staff. But, Ramsay’s quality was easy to spot and the Dutchman quickly added the 32-year-old to his staff as well.

If his move to the MLS materialises Ramsay will become the youngest head coach in the league. The 32-year-old has an impressive resume and has served as assistant manager to the Wales National team.

Moreover, he has also been assistant manager to the U-23 Chelsea team. Now, after almost three years at Old Trafford, he could soon be on his way out. But, what would that mean for Erik ten Hag?

The Dutchman cannot see an end to his struggles at United and losing Ramsay could make the situation much worse, that’s what we would’ve said if INEOS hadn’t arrived. Now that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team have finally brought some structure to the club, Erik ten Hag should be able to cope even if he loses one of his top assistants.

At this point, fans can only hope that Ramsay will see the rest of his season out at Manchester United.
