Manchester United star could miss Crystal Palace game after he was spotted wearing a protective cast
Manchester United’s upcoming game against Crystal Palace is a must win game for the team. The Red Devils have not put up a big result in quite some time now. Their form is worrying considering they have a Cup Final to play this month.
However, winning against the Eagles might not be so easy as Man United might be missing their most important player. There has been an image making the rounds on the social media platform, X which shows Bruno Fernandes in a cast.
It seems like the Portuguese midfielder will be the latest to add to a long list of injuries at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag has said that Fernandes fights to be in every game, this is also evident by the fact that he rarely misses a match.
The Man United skipper has only missed one game this season and that too was due to a yellow card suspension. He has made 45 appearances across all competitions recording a total of 15 goals and 11 assists.
If it wasn’t for Fernandes’ fine form Erik ten Hag’s team would’ve been worse than it is now. While he might have been wearing a cast, there is no doubt that Fernandes will try and come back for their upcoming game.
However, it would be smart for Manchester United to rest the Portuguese midfielder against Crystal Palace. If his injury gets aggravated Fernandes might not be available for the only game of this season that matters at this point, the FA Cup final.
