Fernandes bats for Manchester United duo Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba to stay put

According to The Metro, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has urged Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba to stay put at the club.

The futures of both players are in question as their contracts wind down. Cavani will be a free agent this summer while Pogba could follow suit in 2022.

Cavani has been the club’s third-highest scorer while Pogba has established himself as a mainstay in our midfield. Both players have upped the ante in recent months and are key to the way we play today.

“We know they are really important for us.”

Cavani and Pogba have been excellent for United

Talented and experienced, they add much to the United squad. Fernandes is well aware of it and believes the club will struggle to find affordable replacements who can do a similar job.

“The qualities they have are difficult to find on the market for a good price.”

United have shown much promise this season and are on the right track to success. However, unless we can keep our best players, it is always likely that the progress we have shown on the pitch goes for a toss.

“I think everyone knows the team is growing up so it’s important we keep our best players and we keep improving the team.”

It was reported yesterday that Solskjaer is hopeful of Cavani staying put at United. The club is keen on keeping him and the decision now is in the player’s court.
