Manchester United ready to sell Diogo Dalot

According to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sempre Milan), Manchester United are ready to part ways with Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot this summer.

The 22-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan. Dalot has so far made 30 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring two goals and assisting three more. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Unfortunately, while he has impressed, there has been a lack of consistency in his performances. This has seen him remain behind Theo Hernandez in the pecking order at left-back.

However, he is still young and can also play on either flank. Provided he can develop right, he could very will turn into a leading full-back in the future.

Milan for their part appear to be ready to sign him permanently. Given that he has enjoyed a good run out, a permanent switch to the San Siro would be ideal.

Despite being in the market for another right-back, it would appear that Dalot does not feature in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans. United are ready to listen to offers and hopefully will be able to get a decent price for his services.

Milan are currently third in Serie A and face a battle to maintain their spot in the top four. Dalot’s immediate concern is to help the Rossoneri claim a champions league berth for next season.

Serie A leaders at one point, the San Siro outfit have fallen to fourth spot. They currently face a battle with Napoli and Lazio for the coveted Champions League spot.

With his contract running until 2023, Dalot still has two years left at United. One of Jose Mourinho’s final signings at the club, it would appear his best years lie elsewhere.
