Transfer News: Juventus ready to sell Paulo Dybala to land Manchester United ace Paul Pogba
According to Italian news outlet Quotidiano (h/t Express), Juventus are willing to sell Paulo Dybala to help fund a transfer for Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba.
The United star will enter the final year of his contract this summer. With the date fast approaching, his future at Old Trafford continues to remain unclear.
One of the clubs keen on signing him are Italian champions Juventus. Such a deal would see Pogba leave Old Trafford for the second time in his career. The first time worked out well with the player developing into a world-class player at the Allianz Stadium.
A member of the vaunted ‘MVP’ midfield alongside Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio, Pogba was a key cog in the Juventus machine. His importance can be garnered from the fact that they have struggled to replace him since his departure in 2016.
The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur have all since struggled to match Pogba’s output. With their efforts at replacing him gone up in smoke, Juventus appear to be willing to take back the player himself.
If Pogba’s contract situation is not resolved soon, there is a real possibility that United could lose him on a free in a year’s time. Losing one of the world’s best players in his prime for nothing is a nightmare scenario, especially given the dire financial situation.
The EPL connection!
Juventus too have been hard hit by the financial crisis, and are hence seeking to part ways with Dybala.
The Argentine has struggled with injuries this season and has failed to impress under Andrea Pirlo. He, nevertheless, has suitors in both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
Whether Juventus will eventually fork out what United want remains to be seen.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola dropped a bombshell last December by claiming that his client was unhappy at Old Trafford. The player has, to his credit, not spoken out and has done his talking on the pitch.
Although an injury saw him sit out the majority of February, Pogba returned with a bang this week to score the winner against AC Milan at the San Siro.
What his future at the club holds remains to be seen. Hopefully, he can lead us to a trophy or two before bidding goodbye once again.
