Manchester United are the most successful team in FA Youth Cup history

Despite being a youth tie, the rivalry is not lost on the players. Speaking earlier in the week, United youngster Charlie McNeill admitted that it would be good to get one over the Merseysiders.

A Red Devil through and through, the youngster will be keen to continue his scoring spree against Liverpool. Despite no Liverpool player responding, one can argue that their dismantling of Sutton is an answer in itself.

With the gauntlet now thrown down, we can hopefully return the favour and progress to the quarter-finals.

Interestingly, both the teams also met in the FA Cup proper earlier this year. A Bruno Fernandes goal was the difference on the night as United prevailed 3-2.

It remains to be seen if McNeill can walk the talk and replicate Fernandes’ performance when needed on the night.
