Manchester United fans react as Liverpool win the Premier League
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It clearly was the latter in Manchester yesterday night.
Chelsea’s defeat of Manchester City ensured that Liverpool won their first league title in 30 years. This takes their tally to 19, one short of our record of 20.
In truth, this has been coming for some time now. Ever since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have had a long term vision in place. What they are reaping today is just the fruits of intense planning and taking their opportunities.
As much as we detest them succeeding, it cannot be denied that there is a lesson here. Unlike our City rivals, the Merseysiders have not thrown cash to buy their way to the top.
Excellent recruitment accompanied by astute management have made them a fearsome side once again. We can take heart from the fact that we too have shown signs of doing the same in recent months.
Recruitment has improved while the club once again has an identity. The pride of being a United player is back amongst the squad which augurs well for the future.
Rather than downplay Liverpool’s achievement, we should learn from it and replicate it. Nothing makes the point louder than success on the pitch. That is what we must aim for.
It is a matter of debate if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the man to take us to the top. But if Liverpool’s ascension does not motivate us to do better, nothing will.
We take a look at how Manchester United fans reacted to the news.

They will be giving Klopp a statue at Anfield. His appointment has been transformative.
As @ManUtd look on today, a lesson to be learnt on what clear vision and roadmap can achieve.
If you’re at Manchester United now, whether you’re the manager, a player, a coach, on the board, the owners or the guy who washes the kit.

If seeing Liverpool win the league tonight doesn’t fill you with a burning desire to never let it happen again – you’re at the wrong club.
Not a good day to be a Manchester United fan , Watching Liverpool lift the league while Chelsea keep the 5 point gap ahead of United.

You’ve won @LFC, I hope it makes you happy. Dear lord what a sad little life Liverpool, you ruined the league so you could have the trophy, I hope you use the prize money on learning some grace and decorum because you have all grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.
