“Rub it in”: Young Man United ace sends a warning to Liverpool after FA Youth Cup win

Manchester United youngster Charlie McNeill takes a dig at Liverpool

Speaking to MUTV (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United youngster Charlie McNeill is looking forward to a potential FA Youth Cup tie against Liverpool.

The youngster was on target as the Red Devils progressed from the FA Youth Cup Third Round on Wednesday night. They beat Salford City 2-0 away from home and will play Liverpool or Sutton in the next round.

McNeill grabbed United’s lead in the second half with a moment of individual brilliance. He was otherwise quiet throughout the game but made the most of the opportunity afforded to him.

It was McNeill’s 15th strike of the season. He took a humble approach to his success and praised his teammates for his success.

“I’ve scored 15 goals this season but most of that is down to my teammates assisting me well and creating chances.”

As a United fan, a clash against Liverpool is always an exciting game to be involved in. It is clearly a game that McNeill is looking forward to playing in.

“In the next round, we might have Liverpool which we know is a derby, an amazing game to play in.”

McNeill is keen to get one over Liverpool. Whether he gets an opportunity to do that depends on the Reds making it to the foruth round

“Hopefully we can keep progressing and we can win that game to rub it in Liverpool’s face.”

Manchester United youngster Charlie McNeill is looking forward to a potential FA Youth Cup tie against Liverpool.

Hopefully, the youngster will go on to fulfil his dream of putting Liverpool to the sword. It remains to be seen if his comments will come back to bite him.
