Manchester United target Andre Silva opens up on rumours regarding his future
Andre Silva is one of the players linked with Manchester United heading into the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old came through the ranks at FC Porto before joining AC Milan in 2017. While his time at the San Siro was disappointing, he has since gone on to thrive at Eintracht Frankfurt.
With 20 goals and five assists in 23 games, he has been exceptional this season and has also drawn interest from Atletico Madrid.
Speaking to Portuguese publication O Jogo (h/t Sport Witness), the striker has opened up regarding the speculation that surrounds his future at Frankfurt. As things stand, there is nothing concrete, with the player insisting that these are just talks at the moment.
“I’ve heard rumours, but that is it.”
Silva believes being linked with other clubs is proof that he is on the right track in his career. If anything, it had given the striker more motivation to raise his game and succeed.
“It’s something that gives me more motivation to work, it’s a sign that what I have accomplished has borne fruit and the path has been good.”
It was reported recently that Frankfurt were willing to part ways with Silva for £30million. The player, however, has a sense of humour and joked that in the current market, he was worth much more.
“Around £105 million?”
A prolific scorer, Silva has two years left on his deal. The potential return of Luka Jovic could see Frankfurt hope to raise funds by selling Silva. This can work in our favour, should United decide to pursue the striker.

With Anthony Martial out of form and Edinson Cavani ageing, United will need to bring in a striker who can make the difference up front. The lack of an infallible scorer was once again visible during our 0-0 draw against Chelsea yesterday.
