Barnes is predominantly a left-midfielder. He can also double up as an attacking threat down the middle.

The 23-year-old has been at the club since his youth. Barnes came through the ranks at the King Power Stadium and is keen to commit his future to the club.

With three years left on his current deal, Leicester can take their time in reaching an agreement for an extension. With the player also keen, it is fair to say they have their bases covered.

Technically adept, Barnes is good on the ball and is hard to pin down. Add to it his excellent work ethic and one gets a player who could go a long way in his career.

His performances also saw Gareth Southgate hand him his first England cap on 8 October. Just 23, he will add many more to that provided he keeps up his performances.

Barnes is not the only PL star, both United and Liverpool are competing for. The arch-rivals are also keeping close tabs on Leeds United ace Raphinha.
