Manchester United need to fork out £150million to land Harry Kane
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United will need to pay a British record £150million to sign Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
The English skipper is the country’s top marksman and one of the finest No.9s in the world. At 27, he is in the prime of his career and has a number of years left at the top.
Despite notching up incredible numbers consistently, Kane is yet to win any silverware with Spurs. He could however break that drought in this season’s Carabao Cup, where Spurs face Manchester City in the final.
Both the Manchester clubs are in for a striker and have an eye on the Spurs number 10. According to the report, Daniel Levy will only consider a deal if his asking price is met.
If the deal goes through, it will make Kane the third most expensive player in history. Kane’s contract at Tottenham runs until 2024, with him earning £200,000 per week. (h/t Daily Mail)
While the Lilywhites would rather keep hold of their star man, financial issues could force their hand come the summer. With their brand new stadium also still to be paid for, Spurs may seek to make cash through sales. (h/t The Daily Mail)
The biggest asset!
While Spurs do have a number of players who can fetch a decent price, Kane represents their biggest asset. It is to be expected that he would command the biggest price.
United’s strikers have combined for a measly 17 goals in the league this season. A fact in stark contrast to us being the top-flight’s top scorers. (h/t The Sun)
Meanwhile, Kane alone has 13 goals, not to mention he has 11 assists too. Securing a striker such as him would finally land us the infallible scorer we have been craving for.

The Spurs star has improved as a player this season. He has added assists to his repertoire and has become better at bringing those behind him into play.
With the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood at the club, Kane could increase the output of the United attack further. But he will not come cheap. Nevertheless, the price for success has always been steep.
