Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has faith in his Manchester United stars despite Roy Keane comments
According to Metro, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he does not believe his players will get him the sack.
The statement comes in direct response to the allegations made by former teammate Roy Keane. The Irishman has been critical of United stars and believes their performances will get Solskjaer the sack.
These comments were made in the aftermath of our abject 1-0 loss to Arsenal at home. The loss means that we’ve taken just one point from the first four home games in the Premier League.
“Ole will lose his job working with these players.”
Although Solskjaer admits to listening to Keane’s criticism, he has no worries regarding his players. In fact, the Norwegian disagrees with the notion about the heart and ability of his squad.
“Roy has always been outspoken and I’m very glad I’ve got the players we have here with us.”
Solskjaer believes United have an excellent group of players at their disposal. He went on to back the stars to respond to the criticism on the pitch.
“We move on here with a great group of players, strong group of players, and I’m sure we will see a response.”
United skipper Harry Maguire too responded to Keane’s comments about the lack of leaders at the club. The English international believes negative feedback is easier to come by after a defeat.
Having had his problems on and off the pitch, Maguire is well aware of how a narrative can be spun negatively.
“I am the captain and I’ve got a lot of leadership around me as well, staff and players. So, for sure, there’s a lot of leaders in this squad.”
