Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a plan for Facundo Pellistri
According to ManUtd.com, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a plan in place for deadline day signing Facundo Pellistri.
The 18-year-old was one of the four signings we made on deadline day. He was on the bench for our trip to the Parc des Princes last month but is yet to make his first-team bow for United.
His first outing in a United jersey came for our Under-23 side against Everton last month. He looks set to continue his affiliation with the setup in the coming days.
“He’s a young boy coming over and it’s all new for him.”
Solskjaer has admitted that Pellistri is still adapting to his new teammates and surroundings. He is now set to step up his role in the Under-23s when they face Brighton and Hove Albion this Friday.
“He’ll need a few games in the Reserves, of course, to try to find his feet in a new country.”
The Norwegian admits that Pellistri has had a positive impact at the club. However, he is yet to adapt and the club is prepared to be patient with him.
“You’ll see him in the Reserves, probably in the next game.”
United academy boss Neil Wood too had voiced his opinions on the player after his debut against Everton. He believes Pellistri will learn and continue to develop after taking the field for the first time.
Speaking earlier in the season, Solskjaer had backed Pellistri to succeed at United. With patience and perseverance, he might do just that.

Pellistri was under the tutelage of former United favourite Diego Forlan at Penarol. The young Uruguayan had revealed the chance to be managed by Solskjaer is ideal for his development.
Hopefully, the 18-year-old is on his way to making a name for himself at the Theatre of Dreams.
