Manchester United beat Norwich City 1-2 in the FA Cup
Manchester United advanced to the semi-final of the FA Cup, after defeating Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road, courtesy an extra-time goal from Harry Maguire.
United had been in control for most of the game, but were only able to take the lead in the 51st minute, when Odion Ighalo flicked the ball past the excellent Tim Krul from close range.
Norwich, though, struck back through a long-range effort from Todd Cantwell. The Canaries then tightened up at the back, trying to force the game into penalties.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer threw all his big guns at the home team, but United weren’t able to find a way through, even when Norwich were reduced to ten men after Timm Klose was sent off for a foul on Odion Ighalo.
With the game going into extra-time, Norwich sat deeper and deeper as United piled on the pressure. Krul pulled off a couple of fine saves, including one to deny Maguire.
However, with less than five minutes left, the United captain managed to clinch it for us pouncing on a loose ball in the box, after Norwich failed to clear.

The win means United are in the final four of the FA Cup for the third time in the last five seasons. The display though, was a bit of a letdown after the way the team had performed against Sheffield United in the league last time out.
Nevertheless, the result means we are still with a shot to win two trophies this season. Here we bring you some of the reactions from the fans following the win.
