Erik ten Hag would be willing to step down as Man United manager
As reported by Metro, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag will be ready to step down from his position if he doesn’t receive the full backing from the club’s new owners, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group.
There has been a lot of talk suggesting that the people at Man United aren’t happy with the Dutchman. Recently the club has failed to put any wins on the board so talk surrounding Ten Hag’s future has only gotten louder.
Now, people are also starting to link other managers to the job. Zinedine Zidane is a name we’ve heard in recent weeks. Clearly, Erik ten Hag won’t be happy about everything that is going on at Old Trafford.
So while there is a chance that he could be sacked it seems like there is also a chance that the Dutchman will step down on his own. If the club doesn’t fulfil their one promise and give Ten Hag the support he needs he could leave.
Now, this might excite a few but if the Dutchman decides to leave abruptly it could leave the club scrambling for a new manager. Moreover, it is unfair to him that the owners haven’t spoken out in support.
Yes, the Dutchman is struggling and the possibility of him being sacked is very real. But the owners should make a decision already, leaving him to play under pressure is not good for Ten Hag or the team.
