Man United lead the race for Swansea defender Joe Rodon
According to the Sun, Manchester United are ahead of city rivals Manchester City in the race for Swansea City youngster Joe Rodon.
The 22-year-old central defender came through the ranks at the Liberty Stadium before going on to establish himself as an important player for the Swans.
A player who fits the criteria of players being looked at by Solskjaer, he could be available for as much as £20million. (h/t Sun)
Rodon has made 21 appearances for Swansea this season. He has been an everpresent in the Swans backline, absent only when injured.
At 6ft 4in, Rodon is an impressively tall player who has an excellent reading of the game. In spite of being right-footed, he is equally capable of using his left foot when required.
His performances have also alerted the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, who are keen on signing the player. The Blues are building a young squad while Arsenal too are trying to bridge the gap between them and the top four.
United are keen on bringing in a central defender to partner Harry Maguire. Although we are linked with a move for Kalidou Koulibaly, he will cost at least four times more than Rodon.
The Swansea star will be a promising signing given his age and talent. If we do sign him, it will be the second signing we have made from the Swans following the arrival of Daniel James last summer.
