Ryan Giggs recommends Joe Rodon to Manchester United

According to the Mirror, Manchester United are planning to consider Ryan Giggs on his recommendation of Welsh international Joe Rodon.

The 22-year-old who plays at centre-back for Championship side Swansea City. Having made his first-team debut last season, he has gone on to make 49 appearances for the Swans.

Having been a part of the Welsh national setup, Giggs is familiar with the player’s exploits. He duly recommended the youngster to United, who are keen to beat rivals Manchester City to the player.

In spite of having the likes of Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe, and Phil Jones as centre-back options, United are keen to add Rodon to the mix.

Having broken into the international fold last year, Rodon has won four caps for the national side. He is expected to cost United £20million.

This is not the first time that Giggs has brought a Welsh player to United’s attention. The Red Devils followed up on the Old Trafford legends’ recommendation to sign Swansea winger Daniel James last summer.
