As reported by The Sun (h\t The Daily Mail), Manchester United outcast, Mason Greenwood has asked his advisors for a £40m transfer to Barcelona. The 22-year-old dreams of playing for the Catalan club.

It seems like the Red Devils might have to lose out on an exceptional talent as the English Winger no longer wants to be at Old Trafford. Greenwood was outcasted from the club after he was charged with rape and assault.

However, the charges were dropped shortly afterwards but the English national never got to return to the team and was instead sent out on loan to Getafe, where he has been having an amazing season so far.

In 19 appearances this season Greenwood has recorded five goals and four assists. While he doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary every game, the 22-year-old does showcase a lot of promising signs.

It was earlier believed that Mason Greenwood would return to Old Trafford during the summer and his future with the team would then be discussed. However, it looks like his time at Manchester United will soon come to an end.

Erik ten Hag will be particularly sad about this since he rates the player highly. However, it was his team and management who chose to send him away to Getafe.
